Friendship Mystery

It's not that I don't know how to make friend, it's that somehow, regardless if I'm being myself or if I'm pretending to be someone else, people don't like me. I wonder every single day: "What does he have that I don't? Why does he have all these fans?" I could never really get down to the answer but what I have is this: people like people who can grant them popularity. No one wants be befriend a loser, he'll never get you into that club, or into that social circle that you always dreamed of joining. Throughout my short life, I've never had friends that call me.

Everything Changes For Christmas

Can't you already feel the Christmas spirit? The wonderful music, the beautiful color scheme the city puts on, the bad weather. I know I can, and I love it! Christmas is by far my favorite holiday. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way. Christmas is the biggest holiday. Everything and everyone changes for Christmas. 

Buses Rule!

We all need to be somewhere at a certain time, that's for sure, and we all have different means of getting to that place at that certain time. There are many ways to do so; you can ride a bicycle, drive a car, call a cab, catch a bus. Public transportation is one way to get around town and more specifically, taking the bus. Catching the bus is a really good alternative to driving your personal car to get places.

Good Ol' Wrestling

Ahh, the World Wrestling Federation/ World Wrestling Entertainment, who doesn't remember this? Back in my day (early 2000s) kids had wrestling on their minds 24/7, seriously. Kids of my generation had everything wrestling related from the underwear they were wearing to the championship belt replicas (that they wore to school everyday). They were so hyped on wrestling that kids would organize fight clubs during recess.

A Really Good Memoir

The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls is a masterpiece. This book takes you back to the tough, poverty filled life of Jeannette Walls and her family. It's an incredibly hard book to put down, as soon as you get to a point where you might think of stopping, something interesting happens and you're forced to keep on going. Jeannette depicts her childhood very clearly (Even someone born a billionaire will feel for this girl). Jeannette writes with no intention of making her story sad, in other words, she doesn't want us to pity her (You can't help it though). 

To briefly tease you. Jeannette was born into a really dysfunctional family with an alcoholic father and a really emotionally unstable mother, apart from them, she has three siblings. From what Jeannette remembers, she has always been poor (The book opens up with her family living in a trailer park). Her father can't keep a job, and her mother is a big baby. Neither parent is qualified to take care of children, so the children are basically on their own...

What makes this a great book isn't the fact that it can make a grown man cry, but the way it makes you look at life. This book really made me appreciate the things that I have and it made me love my parents a lot more. Respect goes out to Jeannette Walls who made so much out of virtually nothing. It sort of makes you feel like a dick for wanting more and more even though you already have enough (Material things, etc.). This is a great book that everyone should check out. I'm not a big reader but this book was awesome enough for me to actually finish it. 

How To Make Friends

Friends are people who you share a stronger bond with than any other person. They're always there for you, and you should always be there too. Making friends isn't always easy. I'll give you some steps on what to do to get to know someone. Before we begin, you'll need to have these tools: 

• A nice personality
• A very open mind
• Respect for others and yourself 

My Top Android Applications

Android has thousands of applications, but not all of them are worth your money, or time. I've chosen a couple of my favorite apps to share with you. I'm excluding social media apps like Facebook, Google Plus, Twitter, etc.  These apps are randomly arranged. 

Chrome to Phone

This apps allows you to send web pages, maps, and pictures to your Android device from your Chrome browser in seconds! Its as easy as clicking the extension icon on the top right of the browser. What else can I say? It makes it easier to send data from your office to your phone. 

Google Offers

Google Offers is an app that gives you daily deals to nearby businesses, being  restaurants, sporting goods shops, cupcake shops, flower shops, golf courses, sky diving, petting zoos, you pretty much get the idea. Google Offers has introduced me to so many places around Los Angeles that I never would of thought of going. You actually save money with Google Offers, unlike clipping the 25% Off coupons that come in the mail. 

gStrings 

As none of you know, I play the ukulele and as a string instrument, it gets out of tune. gStrings could possibly replace my $30 tuner I bought from Guitar Center (Its just that good). You can optimize it to work for violins, violas, cellos, bass, guitar, and ukuleles. You can get the free version (It comes with all the features + advertising) or you can buy the $2 version without the annoying ads. 

Screen Shot It 

Screen Shot It is the app rooted users NEED. I actually rooted my phone JUST to get this app. The developers make it super easy to take a screen shot. I have mine set to where I just shake my phone (Sweet, huh?). I took all the screen shots using this app.


Google Music 

As we all know Google came out with Google Music, its a free service that lets you upload music from your computer to the cloud so you can listen to it anywhere with an internet connection. Google was kind enough to give us 20,000 songs to upload for free. The Google Music app gets on this list because it's so easy to use, it's almost a part of the Android system, that's how smooth this baby runs. I have not yet uploaded my whole iTunes library, but I'll get there soon. 

Soundhound 

I can't tell you guys how many times I hear a song and not have any way to find out the artist, album, or even song title! Luckily, there's such thing as Soundhound, its a free application that gives you information on the song that playing in the background. It's damn accurate too (More so than Shazam). 

Toonpaint

Toonpaint is a really fun 'picture effects' app. It automatically turns your normal pictures into really cool cartoon looking ones. Many have said that this app is as good as Photoshop when it comes to this effect. 

So those were my top applications for Android. They are not organized in any significant order. I hope that you take my top apps as recommendations and take time to try them out.  

Why Google+ Is Ahead Of The Game

"Google Plus is like totally better than Facebook." Social platforms come and go. I could've sworn Myspace was still hip yesterday. However, being that Google Plus is in fact a part of the New Google Experience, I can see it here longer than Facebook or Myspace for that matter.
