Why Google+ Is Ahead Of The Game

"Google Plus is like totally better than Facebook." Social platforms come and go. I could've sworn Myspace was still hip yesterday. However, being that Google Plus is in fact a part of the New Google Experience, I can see it here longer than Facebook or Myspace for that matter.

  • Google Plus, like the other Google services are all interconnected. This of course is a good thing, it means easier access to the things you love like: YouTube, Blogger, Gmail, Docs, etc. That means, that it's easier to share things, meet, and add new people. We all know that Google will someday rule the entire internet right (I don't mind)? Well that means that Google's products will undoubtedly stay here. And with Android getting bigger, better, and stronger, only indicates that Google Plus will, also. Facebook on the other hand is JUST a social website, Mark Z. doesn't own a video hosting site, or Email service, or even a search engine (This gives Google Plus a hand).

  • Google Plus' privacy settings are PERFECT! Facebook is certainly working on theirs but Google did it right, first. You don't have to worry about your mother stalking your page and seeing marijuana references because you can add "Mom" to the "People Who Don't Know The Real Me" circle. The best part about this is that the people you circle will never know which one you put them in (No hurt feelings FTW!).

  • Google did it right with injecting Google Plus with utilities. They gave us Hangouts for one, and this is no pity Skype integration like how Facebook did it. No, this is a full fledged video conference feature, loaded with the ability to watch YouTube videos with whomever you're chatting with (How cool is that?!). They also gave us games. And NO, they don't spam. Google gave us legitimate games like Angry Birds.

While Google Plus may seem perfect, it still has some downs. One is that it's a ghost website, seriously, I've asked many friends on Facebook if they have heard of Google Plus and very few said yes. We need more people on the site! Being created by the monster company Google gives me faith that Google Plus will, without a doubt succeed.
