Buses Rule!

We all need to be somewhere at a certain time, that's for sure, and we all have different means of getting to that place at that certain time. There are many ways to do so; you can ride a bicycle, drive a car, call a cab, catch a bus. Public transportation is one way to get around town and more specifically, taking the bus. Catching the bus is a really good alternative to driving your personal car to get places.

For one, catching the bus can save you money (Who doesn't want to save money?). Living in Los Angeles, car drivers are very, very susceptible to traffic. Traffic means being stuck on the road and not advancing while your car gobbles up gas. Gas prices are really high right now, last time I checked a gallon was about $4. Being on the bus gets rid of the whole spending money on gas, you only have to pay for your fare, which is approximately $1.

Taking the bus is a very relaxing experience because you don't have to drive. You just pay your dollar and take a seat. You can listen to music, read a book, browse the internet, make phone calls, all without the worry of crashing, or getting fined by the government. Just leave the work to the driver, just relax and enjoy your surroundings.

Being on the bus is a very social place. You see different people come and go. Sometimes, you can even hold conversations with them (I know right!?). You meet so many people on buses, some nice, some mean. I've met a couple of people on buses (And yes, we still talk).

There are certainly other ways of transportation others that personal cars. The bus is just one choice (And a damn good one). It has some benefits that the car cannot grant you. To conclude my statements, the bus is a really good alternative means of transportation because it can save you money, it's an incredibly relaxing ride, and you can meet new people and possibly befriend them.
